OUR TUTORS

Who You'll Learn With

Maria trained at conservatoires in Caracas, Madrid, and Paris, and has been teaching piano and harpsichord for over 30 years — across four countries and to students of every age and level. She brings deep musical knowledge and a warm, patient way of teaching that makes every student feel they belong.
Roberto, Maria's husband and co-founder, leads everything beyond the music: communications, parent support, and the day-to-day running of the studio. His background in leadership and people development shapes how Pianista is organised — always around the student.

No Obligation. You'll meet your teacher, see the studio, and leave having played something you didn't expect to play.

OUR STORY

How Pianista Came to Be

Pianista grew from a simple idea: that learning piano should feel like something you look forward to, not something you endure. Maria had spent decades teaching across Venezuela, Spain, and France before settling in Hinckley. Together, we built a studio around what we would have loved to have as students ourselves, what we'd seen work, and what we knew was missing elsewhere: real support between lessons, teaching that adapts to each person, and an environment where progress comes from proof, not pressure.

OUR APPROACH

How We Teach

Every student learns differently, so every student is taught differently. We shape lessons around how you learn, what you enjoy, and what you're ready for next.
But what makes Pianista different is what happens outside the lesson. We support you through the whole week — so when questions come up at home, you're never on your own.

OUR VALUES

What Matters Most at Pianista

Support

We're with you all week, not just during your lesson. When something feels difficult at home, we're a message away.

Honesty

Confidence built on real progress lasts. We show you proof of how far you've come, not just encouragement.

Belonging

There's no wrong age, no wrong level, and no wrong reason to learn. If you want to play, you belong here.
